A hauntingly beautiful and rare collection of stories that more than mere erotica is a study on the psychopathology of kink, answering in an uncensored and non judgemental way, all our questions regarding kinks

I really wanted to like this short story collection more than I did 🥲 Unfortunately I wasn’t gripped. However, I have highlighted the ones I did like below:

‘Oh, Youth’ got me in my feelings 🥺 I can imagine it’s hard to navigate a three person relationship, especially when with one of the members it’s meant to be strictly transactional…

‘Mirror, Mirror’ was quite fun. There was a lot of excitement from the get go, which I really got into ✨

‘The Voyeurs’ was probably my favourite. Although harrowing in some aspects,
Spoilerwhat with Mr. Harris being a transphobic prick 😫,
I felt real intimacy and love between Belèn and Omar ❤️ I wanted to give them both big hugs!

2.5 out of 5 stars for me on this one ✨ Content warnings also posted below.

Stories mostly about kink, not of kink, so not what I was expecting, and many I would not want to reread, although when I actually go through the story list (rather than just thinking about it) there are plenty I liked, mostly by authors I already admired. So something about the collection doesn't sit right with me and I haven't figured out why. Maybe because the overall tone seems grim? But will keep it for now, at least.

A book titled "Kink" that isn't really *that* kinky. Is this irony? Most of the stories are just dry and dull. 3 stars because some of the stories were okay.

Like all short story collections some of these really captured me but I felt the order of some works could have been better arranged. My interest took a dip in the middle of the book and it took me a while to finish!
