DELICIOUS ART AND CONTENT 🥵🥵
Seigi is so green flag babygirl coded and so oblivious. He just be straight up telling Richard how gorgeous beautiful pretty he is all the time "and honestly, your looks are way past a sunny day! More like a sky full of diamond dust or an aurora-" and he means it 100% but like it's aesthetic attraction "I mean, I think you're the most beautiful person in the world...but Tanimoto-san's the one I like." excuse me he Gets It™️??? "I still don't think that perceiving something as beautiful automatically means you like it. Liking something and thinking something's pretty aren't the same." but i gotta make the "fellas is it gay to say 'seriously, my heart skips a beat every time i see my boss'"? joke he's just so blunt and shameless with it 😭
the lady in the jewelry store thinking they were getting engaged...she's so real for that
me learning that if you put diamond and cubic zirconium on a line, you won't be able to see the line through the diamond but will be able to through the cubic zirconium (and other gemstone facts): 🤯🤯

CW: Grief, Death of a Loved One

This was a great continuation to this series. I wasn't too fond of the first story in this volume, involving a struggling couple and an Amithyst. However, the second story was incredibly compelling. It was about an old man trying to restore his wife's diamond engagement ring. It made me tear up. I love this series.

another amazing volume!!
i love this manga so much, and i just love watching richard & seigi's relationship develop and how the two of them continue to get to know each other. (anyone reading this would honestly think it's a BL/shounen ai manga, but it's not

Yet again, a brilliant volume. I'm really liking how casual but detailed the stories are, here. They're not in-your-face with romance or action, but they have a homely, comfortable feel to them that engages you throughout every page.
Each story feels complete, never lacking in depth or emotion, never rushing or failing to make an impact. I'm always sad when each story ends, because you get so much time to bond with the characters, despite the entire volume being less than 200 pages. Some books can't do that with a full 300 pages. I always get swept away in the storytelling, and the bond between Richard and Seigi.
Story 1 was about a hostess and a bartender in love trouble, while story 2 was about a man who was trying to move on from his wife's death 10 years ago, after a tragedy.
I love the diversity of the stories covered in each volume, as well as the growth and diversity of each character. The main characters grow and mature with every chapter, and their bond together is ridiculously endearing.
I can't wait to read more, in Volume 3.

Don’t mind me. Just lying down here and crying over a manga about gemology.

I love how informative this series is about gemstones, and how it all ties into the clientele. And Seigi is so clueless about just how gay he is for Richard, while Richard just wants to either slap him or kiss him. Maybe both?
