This was highly enjoyable for the first 90% of the book. The household staff are human and hilarious, the heroine is gradually revealed over the course of the book, there are real and sweet relationships growing, even the romantic tension is silly but believable. Ant then? Chesney torches it all with the worst, most vile romance tropes in the last few pages. This dropped from a 4 to a 2 star just like that.
