I rarely give books 5 stars. I am super picky. This is my first 5 star book of the year! I LOVED this book. It was everything on my list. Addictive, easy read, couldn't put it down, never a dull moment! Full of mystery, kept me guessing, and made me want more!

Lol I recognized this on the library's free book shelf from reading it frantically as a 10-year-old, didn't remember a single plot point, very fun for the nostalgia but definitely a waste of time if you are actually interested in the plot unless you're willing to read all seven books in the series.

I loved the way this book was written--told in dead Sutton's first person point of veiw, but third person as Sutton's ghost follows her long-lost twin Emma and tells Emma's story through all-seeing ghost eyes.

I was unable to put this book down for a second. The need to know who killed Sutton and who duped Emma into taking over Sutton's life is so great; the suspense is killing me. But I thought all would be revealed in this book; I was wrong. I had no idea this was going to be a series, and I can't wait to read the second book.

The character development and descriptions of each character are great.

Sara Shepard really knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat.

A really exciting read! Within 56 pages I was hooked. A murder, a long lost twin and a mystery to solve while living another's life makes this book a page turner.

I didn’t actually finish this book as it got water damaged, but reading 1/3 of it was enough to know I wasn’t going to enjoy it. I guess I’m not 13 anymore 😬🤷🏼‍♀️
