a lot of fun---not entirely what I expected.
I plan on picking up some other works from Brown, tho, for comparison.

Relatable and quirky cute, everything moved too fast and was overall a little shallow for my taste. Important little novel that everyone and her sisters ex girlfriend have read, for the cultural context it felt important to read. Spoiler / TW** the incest comment/ moment was just so weird/ random.??11! why girl....

So charming and funny!!! Could have done without the incest convo and the sex with the 16 year old. But overall, I loved it.

I loved it. Rita Mae Brown's bold voice shines through as spunky Molly Bolt. There's much to relate to and much to admire in the narrative of this book.

I've been debating whether to give this 4 or 5 stars. I suspect many people would love this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very good, just not among my all-time recommend-to-everyone favs. I suspect if I'd found this book in my teens it would have been life changing. 14 year old me would have given this 10 stars.
