I really enjoyed book 1, Flesh, but couldn’t get all the way on board with this one. I could understand the MMCs reasoning, and how he tried to prove to the fmc that he wasn’t a bad guy, but honestly it all just felt super rushed. If all the events had taken place over five months instead of five days I might have bought it a bit more. Just really couldn’t go from in less than a week.
