Once more, the art was absolutely incredible. I loved the array of settings depicted and how this brought variation in art and colour. In terms of plot, I found it to be much more adventurous and thus more engaging.

The themes were much more present in this story which gave it greater depth in comparison to Nightlights. The narrative touches on ecology: how nature is damaged when even one animal is taken from their ecosystem, or when an outside force takes up too many resources and too much space. But it also explores curiosity and creativity, namely the importance of these things to bettering our environment and others, as well as caring for ourselves. The story especially stresses that fear shouldn’t stand in the way of either quality. In relation to this, the power of imagination was once more central to the narrative. I was in awe of Sandy and what she could come up with!

As a side note, I found the whole atom = marble = universe thing so trippy; it’s something I’m still trying to wrap my head around!
