Yesterday I found out that one of favourite authors had another book coming out this summer so I knew had to do another review of her books! Bad Girls is probably a joint favourite along with Divas with regards to Rebecca's books. I believe I first read it in 2010 and it's yet to be dated or any less fun with every read in 2016.
All of Rebecca Chance's books take part in the glitzy world of celebrity/high society and I honestly think it's adds an extra layer of deliciousness to her stories. It always makes you think back to real life celebrity events like maybe, just maybe, you've been duped. Another great aspect of these books is the underlying mystery. It's always the person you'd least expect even when you go into the book mistrusting everyone.
Bad Girls takes place in a rehab facility (Cascabel) in which, honestly, only two of the four main characters need to be in. Having two characters in the facility for duplicitous reasons only causes the book to be more intriguing as regardless of the reasons they are in there, they do need to complete the programme to get out. We get a lot of backstory before our main characters go to rehab -Cascabel is a great meeting point for them all as irrespective of whether their issues are "real" or not, we learn that these characters need each other anyway if only to make each other better people.
As always, there's always a throwaway reference to previous character (which I love, because as constantly mentioned I have issues with saying goodbye!). Additionally, I believe Rebecca Chance does a wonderful job at making you root for potentially unsympathetic characters. It's important to realise that your characters can have flaws but if you allow them to accept them and continue to grow, the characters can and will steal your heart.
