I really liked the first half of the book and how the FMC was genuinely different to other FMC’s (but not in a pick-me way!). Her mysterious and dry demeanour and genuine lack of interest in the others was fun and refreshing. Bael was cute but super cringey and the others were ok but we didn’t really get to know them much. I like the idea of the magic system and the world, but could have had a bit more depth to it. The end felt a bit rushed. Enjoyable tho!
