This book was awesome! After seeing a few friends leave good reviews of this and Karin Slaughter's other book "Pretty Girls", I thought I should give it a try. This is by far one of my favorite reads of the year, so far. Suspenseful, great storylines, and fast-paced - I could not put this book down. It one of those ones that you stay up at night reading until your eyes start closing.

I won't give away any spoilers, but I would highly recommend giving this a try. I am looking forward to checking out her other books.

This book had some clever twists and turns. The plot was really creative. I really enjoyed this book but would warn anyone who is going to read it there were a lot of inappropriate scenes, vulgar language, and some triggers to a couple of different things (I don't feel like I can disclose them without it spoiling the ending of the book).

Wow. I have never read anything by this author before but you can bet your ass I’m going to read more of her work. This book came out of the gates swinging. There was a “whoa” moment in the very first chapter and a “gasp” moment (Yes, it literally made me gasp out loud) towards the end of the book when a revelation was made. One that I did not see coming.

The subject matter of this book is very heavy. You feel the pain and rage of the characters and each character grips you from the very beginning. The dry humor of the characters offers a nice balance to the heaviness of the story. I think what I loved most about this book was how the multiple “stories” within the book were skillfully woven together. As a reader, you wanted to unravel each mystery and find out what actually happened. Which was a recurring thought in my head- WHAT REALLY HAPPENED. I NEED TO KNOW.

This book is definitely a page turner. So in conclusion, go read this book. DO IT.

This is one of my favorites this year but I admit I got a little lost in the first twist. I thought this was one of the more accurate representations of lawyers I’ve read AND an accurate representation of disability. I definitely saw the final twist coming and I feel like things got wrapped up a little to cleanly but overall very enjoyable and I’ll probably even re-read in a few years.
