This collection had some good individual lines, but not as many overall poems or overarching themes that I connected with. I totally get why people love this collection and its craft, but it wasn't one that sticks out as really memorable or impactful to me personally. Again, kind of just feeling like I need to check out another of Safiya Sinclair's collections when she releases one, or read more of her independent poems separate from a highly formatted and polished collection. I know I have her upcoming memoir on my TBR, so
