The last volume in what I think is the greatest Shannara series. Brooks did a fantastic job creating interesting people doing interesting things in an interesting world. Each character is forced to grow, and this time there is no perfect, all-knowing Allanon to guide them (shades don't count!).

1238 pages later and I've finished the Heritage of Shanara series. This entry was decent but all in all I wouldn't recommend investing the time into this series. The characters and plotlines are very similar to the first trilogy and I didn't get a lot from it.
