I love Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice has been one of my favorites for years. But Sense and Sensibility just about killed me. You can tell it was her first novel. She polished them as she continued.

This one shows the glimmers of her ironic and amusing voice, but my goodness the characters were exhausting.

Making my way through Austen. Happy to live in an age when I didn’t have to marry an old man.

What is up with that ending? Also, Edward is a ninny, and completely undeserving of Elinor.

I have come to the conclusion that I just don't care for Jane Austin, her writing style makes my mind numb. I just don't seem to care for any of her characters and the plot seems to be inane.
