Celeste has this way of getting you hooked in her writing within a few lines of the first chapter, and this book (second book in this series) is no different.

There were so many plot twist, so many truths revealed, so much action, and A LOT more spice! I am so anxious to see how the next book plays out — we have to do much to figure out!

Do yourself a favor and go read this series!

Omg! After the first cliffhanger I couldn't wait to see what Rayne was going to do. This book had so much happening and so many plot twist. I couldn't put it down. That cliffhanger omg I so need book three.

I was so excited to read this book with all of Celeste's teasers I highly anticipated reading book 2 and it did not disappoint I love Rayne and her men they will protect her at any cost. The twist and lies in this book will have you on the edge of your seat. We are left with a cliffy and I cannot wait for book 3. Amazing plot and wonderful characters.

Rayne and the three kings are at it again! First of all Rayne is totally amazing and will take everything you throw at her like the BA Queen that she is. This series keeps you guessing at what Ayer’s is gonna throw her way next and who is in with who. Seriously if you love some good mafia type vibes this is the series for you!

freakin’ incredible

Okay okay like danggggg!! Book one was incredible and I was already OBSESSED after reading it, but book two?!? Phenomenal!!!

The steady build of the relationship between Rayne and her men paired with the care & devotion they show her as she deals with the trauma she’s experienced/is still experiencing makes this story for me. It’s the perfect blend of spicy and sweet and supportive in such a realistic manner (if you were involved in a crime syndicate irl ofc).

The plot points in the story are ones that while not necessarily unexpected are so well conveyed and thought out that they add emotional depth to an already thrilling tale.

I cannot wait to see how they process the information they have uncovered in this part of their journey when book three releases. And I can’t wait to see if my theories are correct!

Promise of Flames is book 2 of the Promises series.

This picks up where Promise of Embers left off and continues following Rayne and her guys Ethan, Hunter and Dominic

Rayne had killed her brother after he helped kidnap her. She is now struggling to cope with what she did but Ethan, Hunter and Dominic are there to help her cope with her feelings.

We learn a lot more about the guys and their pasts, which I loved.

We also get more of Oliver (a sort of father figure to Rayne) and his plans for the organisation he runs. She becomes queen due to the plans he has for Rayne where his organisation is concerned.

The guy's ex Libby, is more involved in this book. She seems to turn up everywhere Rayne is, only to taunt her and threaten her. Thankfully she is taken care of in this one along with Trace, Rayne's ex and Oliver's son.

Promise of Flames is spicier than the first book, but not enough to take over the actual plot and storyline.

This ends on another cliffhanger (worse than Promise of Embers cliffhanger). I can't wait to read the final book in this series.

I loved how the book picks up right where book 1 ended. Rayne is a strong FMC. She is very independent but she’s learning it’s okay to get help. The boys are 🥵! They take such good care of Rayne. This story was a rollercoaster! So good! I can’t wait for the next one. Check TW! Highly recommend!
