well this will become my personality for the rest of time🐉🗡️🍊 just finished it and i already want to reread it 🧡 it was everything i could have hoped for!!!!

the story and the world building is so rich and the characters (especially the women) have my entire heart 🥹 while it’s obviously a long book, the pacing was pretty good and it kept me intrigued the entire time i was reading.

all the character povs were amazing and even though niclays frustrated me sometimes, i was still super hooked reading about his character (
the way he talked about jannart had me sobbing as well as his final scene😭
). samantha shannon writes such compelling characters, i’m obsessed with all of them & don’t get me started on ead and sabran’s romance. they are my everything 💓💓

i adored this book and the characters in it. what a beautiful story.

Also: If they make this into a movie or TV show, know I will become an absolute menace. :)

this book was loooong hahaha and I knew that going into it but daaaang, it’s been a while since I’ve read something this long. Perk is you get the full story instead of having to wait for sequels but con - Sometimes a nice palette cleanser is needed in between sequels. Thoroughly enjoyed this. Love the representation. Love the journey of emotions it took me on. Absolutely loved the strong female characters. I smiled; I cried; I giggled and was sad and shocked and all the things. Also talking dragons 🐉 Gonna take a long break though before I dive into A Day of Fallen Night 😑
