I just couldn't get into it. There were too many story lines that made it confusing, and every time I actually started to get interested in one, they jumped to another one that I didn't really care about.

This was... a lot. It was everything you want and expect out of an epic high fantasy. I really enjoyed nearly every character in the book and definitely didn't like a few others. I appreciated the way the other held nothing back when it came to "losing" some characters. The reason this wasn't five stars for me is because it really drug out a lot of the plot. There easily could have been 200 pages cut from this, and you still would have had the great high fantasy story. Most of the action didn't occur until the last 100 pages, and even at that, there were still a few pieces that were left open. However, the world building? 10 out of 10.
