This was amazing! Dante and Amara are everything and more, I love them so much. Amara's story was so heartbreaking, I felt for her throughout the entire the book. I loved Dante even more somehow than I did in the last two books. I liked how we got to see them together and separately. I liked reading about how Tristan and Morana are and I'm really happy for them and how their story has progressed. The continuation of the overarching plot has been really good but it's really sad. I have no complaints about this one. I'm loving the series so far!

Good pacing but some parts of the ending felt rushed. I looked forward to Dante and Amara's story since reading The Predator and I was hoping for more angst and longing. But overall it was great.

I also love pregnancy tropes when done right. And Dante's protectiveness during Amara's pregnancy was 🤌🏻

While I loved the characters of Amara and Dante in the first two books this one is a disappointing. It’s rushed but slow, it’s well written but then filled with errors, and overall just not good. “My king” and “my queen” had me physically cringing through the entire book. But jokes on me because I’m going to keep reading this series💀

I didn't like this one quite as much. The backstory was great to finally get to know but the brutality came out a little more. I was glad to get two POVs

i forgot how much i loved amara and dante. even after two years, i could never forgot them. now bear in mind, i am rating this as a mafia book (which usually aren’t that best plot wise) and their undying love was what stood out to me the most. even though every hardship they went through they remained each other’s constant.

This book changed my brain chemistry. This series has quickly become one of my all time favorites. All the characters absolutely own my heart and Runyx is an incredible writer. Amara’s journey and character growth in this is so inspiring and I will say this time and time again Runyx is absolutely INCREDIBLE at characterization and making you feel the emotions of the characters she is a GURU!! A MAGICIAN!! Everyone feels so real and is so lovable even through being morally grey. I can name the amount of books that do morally grey as well as Runyx on one hand. And DANTE!!! OH MY GODDDD 🫠🫠🫠🥵🥵🥵 He’s the epitome of the perfect man. He’s smart, emotionally mature, honest, devoted and soo protective and thats just a summary of how perfect he is!! He’s even a damn artist and a beautiful one at that! He likes to listen to audiobooks and sculpt!! He’s also actually falling over himself to worship Amara like honestly you couldn’t ask for more. His and Amaras fight to be together is absolutely everything!! They are so perfect for each other they really are true soulmates. The development of their relationship too is so for lack of a better word *chefs kiss* I love Amara so so much!! Shes so strong and kind and I want to be her bestfriend 🥲 Also the epilogue of this book had me SOBBING. Amara & Dante are one of my favorite couples of absolute all time. They are soulmates and they have fought to be together so much and I just LOVE THEM 😭😭 I dont have enough words to describe how much I love this book and this world and these characters so all I’m going to say is thank you Runyx for creating this It’s brought me so much joy and comfort 💗💗
