Not bad- 3.5/5 stars. Not as good as Wolf by Wolf was, and I missed Yael, but it was cool to get a little backstory about Luka, as well as to see the REAL Adele Wolfe in action. Also a good little treat while waiting for the next book.

This novella is probably closer to a 3.5. It isn't something that is necessary to read for either novels.
This story shows what happened between Luka and Adele during their first race. We hear about it in the first novel; and we find out that it was Adele that back-stabbed Luka.
What I really enjoyed about this novella was more Luka time. He was one of my favourite characters from the duology. And actually seeing more Adele. Yael was nothing like Adele; even with all her knowledge and watching...she was always more compassionate and caring than Adele ever was.
This novella just highlights what transpired. I enjoyed the writing and I love the characters of this world. I will definitely read more by Ms. Graudin !

This just confirmed my all time love for Luka Lowe <3
I'm kind of hoping we will see some of Adele in Blood for Blood, she seems like an interesting character (although I don't know if I can forgive what she did to Luka). Missing Yael in this though. I don't know how I can wait 6 months for Blood for Blood, it's too far away!

I mean, I seriously can't get enough of Luka ever. I'd read a whole novel series from his perspective.

Luka Lowe was one of the most mysterious characters in Wolf by Wolf. We know there used to be a deep bond between Luka and Adele, but we don’t learn how they connected and why it went wrong. But in Iron to Iron, our questions are answered.
This was a short, easy read. I loved reading from Luka’s perspective. He’s such an interesting character with a past that was much deeper than I was initially expecting. He had all of these layers and thoughts—these ideas of doubt and mistrust—I could relate to myself. I look forward to picking up the sequel, Blood for Blood.
