Loved the collaboration of these two authors. Great story of 2 broken souls connecting & finding love with each other. I liked how developed the characters were and their journey of discovering themselves as well as one another.

A whole lot of insta sex with very little story and really cringy dialogue. She's a recent divorcee and he's a reclusive veteran. He finds her out in the woods getting herself off in the water, the next day she accidentally walks right into his cabin where he is doing the same. Magical, parallel wanking. They get snowed in and spend time getting freaky in his cabin. That's pretty much the plot aside from some poorly executed drama and bar scenes. Lots of sex, some scenes written well, some not so much. Save yourself some time, read a review that talks about the story and then just skip through the book to the dirty parts.

The story was good up until 50%. There was a back-story and the two love interests were trying to make their way through hardships. But, after about 50% it started to get repetitive with love, no issues, and everything was good. But also some of the character choices didn’t make sense later in the book. There were some decisions made without consulting the partner and their reaction didn’t really match how the character’s personality was described and shown earlier in the book.

While it was a typical romance about a woman going dealing with betrayal and divorce, it was an entertaining read
