Awesome retelling of the myth of Theseus vs the Minotaur. Renault is a wonderful writer on a craft level and she shines at showing how people from different eras think and act. The story can be slow, but the steady pace rewards a careful reader’s reflection. I’m not sure if I like or dislike Theseus by the end of this book, but I certainly know him well, and I appreciate the time I spent with his thoughts.
