My heart was in my throat for most of this book.
One minute I hated James and didn’t want Wendy to be with him, the next I just wanted them both to fall into each other’s arms declaring their undying love for each other.
Some of the twists I could see coming but some really shocked me.
Great read

Felicity Munroe and Rupert Hawthorne narrate this audiobook. Emily McIntire delivers a riveting retelling of Peter Pan with a dark twist. The audiobook brings the characters to life, with Munroe and Hawthorne perfectly capturing the intense, brooding atmosphere of the novel. James's vengeful plot against Peter takes a turn when he meets Wendy, leading to a tumultuous and passionate affair. The narrative is compelling, filled with emotional depth and mature themes, steering far from the original fairy tale's innocence. The narrators adeptly convey the story's complexity, making it a captivating listen. This book marks an intriguing start to a series that promises more dark, romantic tales. It is a recommended listen for those who enjoy fractured fairy tales with a sensual edge.
