Quite simply marvellous.

For a book that tells of a weightily familiar theme for any son, it is a remarkably smooth read.

It felt like a breeze, I have never before felt all that much wiser in such a light way.

I feel like this book's influence will gradually sink in, rather than hit me frontally.

Interestingly enough, however, despite what the backcover says, I found - roughly speaking - the first three quarters of the book most enthralling, rather than the final chapter. Maybe that has something to do with the relatively little time I have spent on this earth of ours, though.

I’m looking forward to reading this again when, if, I have become a father, myself.

My first foray into Russian lit; the book was the opposite of hopeful or inspiring. I recommend the book to people interested in Russian politics of the time.

I dont really feel sad about Bazarov’s death.
Really happy Arkadiy finally can have his own thoughts without Bazarov’s bashing and congrats to him getting married to someone he loves. Anna is Anna Karenina in a different form(just a little bit better).Petroviç brothers are awesome and I really like their brotherly love for each other. Poor Bazarov’s parents, they didn’t deserve this pain and looked like really good cute elderly parents. And I didn’t really care for anyone else.
