Loved the Bubba story and the Pam story!

I liked this book. I think this is due to the fact that Charlaine didn't write any of the stories. I enjoyed the Luna, Diantha, and Desiree stories the most. The Eric story was terrible.

I enjoyed most of the stories in this book, though I admit to getting a little tired of it. There were moments, however, when it was joyous to revisit the Sookie saga. You don't have to have read the entire series, but I found that it helped. Enjoy, by all means!

It's been long enough since the Sookie marathon finished for me to enjoy dipping my toes back in the Bon Temps water, and I think these writers did a great job of picking up stray characters and exploring their past, present and future (whether or not they were all strictly within the rules of the Sookieverse). I enjoyed most, disliked one and was a little noncommittal about another, but that's generally how anthologies go.

Fun to reminisce, and to fill in some gaps. It didn't inspire me to go back and reread any of the other books, as some do ([a:Sharon Lee|57980|Sharon Lee|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1249574929p2/57980.jpg] and [a:Steve Miller|6519963|Steve Miller|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png], I'm looking at you!) which some might see as a criticism, but I was happy with it.

These are stories by other writers writing in the Sookie Stackhouse world. Some of the stories are EXCELLENT, some just ok. If you are a fan of the series, good followup book. Not a keeper for me, however. Audiobook narrated excellently.

DNF

This is a collection of stories written in the Sookie Stackhouse universe. It’s fanfic, by published authors… fanfic. I didn’t get passed the 4th story.

I actually like collections of short stories, since they lead me to new authors. And frankly, most of these authors did a better job with CH's characters than she did in the last several Southern Vampires books!

Well, except for the last story. I used to love MaryJanice Davidson's Queen Betsy stories, but everything else she's written just falls flat for me, including this last, weird, Eric story.

I enjoyed seeing a different part of the characters lives, away from the main story line.
