And I Love Her, Green Mountain #4, by Marie Force
Grade: B

When Megan Kane’s sister breaks the news that she is moving to France with her husband and closing the family diner, she is devastated and unsure what to do with her life. The diner and it’s customers have become Megan’s family since her parents died in a car accident a decade earlier and she is surprised when Hunter Abbott is the one who offers support in the difficult time. Megan spent years harboring a major crush on Hunter’s younger brother but as she spends more time with Hunter she soon sees that maybe she was looking at the wrong Abbott brother.

Hunter Abbott is the eldest of the Abbott clan and has spent his life being the responsible one. Hunter has been in love with Megan Kane for years and with the news of the diner closing her knows he will do whatever it takes to keep her around. As Hunter breaks down Megan’s walls he finds there is so much more to her and so much more for him to fall in love with. Hunter is now even more determined to make Megan his forever but he still needs to convience Megan that he’s the man for her.

Like most readers of this series I have been anticipating Megan and Hunter’s story for awhile. I am happy to say that it was so good and well worth the wait. I was a little nervous going into this book since I wasn’t a huge fan of I Saw Her Standing There, which is the third book. I felt that this book was totally different and I had such a hard time putting it down!

I really enjoyed Megan and Hunter so much. Hunter is way too good to be true and just seemed like the perfect guy. It was fun to seem him let go with Megan and follow his instincts and his heart. I really liked Megan but towards the end of the book she drove me a little crazy. I was very happy when she pulled it together and made good choices. Megan was very different and complex than I had expected which was a great surprise.

The great thing about this series is that we always get to see what is going on with past characters and still see things from their point of view. There are some wonderful surprises in this book and the set up for the next book is heartbreaking. This is such a great series that I highly recommend!

Another fantastic story, The Green Mountain series, has become a real favourite of mine, and these stories just get better and better. I must admit though I wasn't to sure about Megan, especially before reading her and Hunter's story, but she really grew on me. I also loved the little glimpses of Hunter's sibling those who have had there stories and those who are still to come, and will be eagerly awaiting news of Ella and Gavin's story!

4 stars. This is such a sweet story, I just didn't feel like I could engage with the female lead and I was so bored halfway through, I really wanted to love it but it was too slow and uneventful for me. I would still recommend it however.

Thanks to this dang cold/bronchitis I have just now finished And I Love Her.

I have loved Hunter from the very beginning, so naturally I couldn't wait for his book. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a fan of Megan's at first, but once you get to see the real Megan and find out her story you can't help but love her.

Now.... I can't wait to get Ella and Gavin's book, because I'm already a Gavin fan.

I really liked this book. Maybe because it was so different from the latest one in the series. Hunter was still a little too pushy for my tastes but most of Force's heroes are. But this was a three-and-a-half-star book with waitress Megan Kane hearing that her sister and brother-in-law, the last of her family, are moving to France. They invite her along but she doesn't want to move to France.
Hunter sees this as his chance. He can buy the diner where Megan works and finally make his move. See, Megan was in love with his brother Will for a long time but Will is marrying someone else. So Hunter will finally reveal his feelings for her.

Another Marie Force Masterpiece

Truly loved this story of Hunter and Megan. Pulled at the heartstrings. Well written and includes updates on all the Abbott family members. It was over too soon. Loved this couple so much. Marie Force is a master storyteller! This book is a must read.

Being the oldest of the ten Abbott children, Hunter Abbott has always been the stable one, the level-headed one, the one that everyone can count on to keep things on an even keel. But still waters run deep, and Hunter is about to shake things up. Megan Kane has not had an easy life, but is happy with the way things are. When life as she knows it gets turned upside-down yet again, having a safe harbor is just what she needs.

Reading a book by Marie Force is always such a pleasure for me. Her characters feel like old friends, and seeing what they're up to is like coming home. Her Green Mountain series has quickly become one of my favorites, and I couldn't recommend them any more highly. I liked Hunter in the previous books in this series, but fell in love with him in And I Love Her. He may seem like a sedate sort of guy, but there's a lot simmering below the surface, and it's sexy as all get-out. His take-charge attitude when it comes to Megan is hot, sweet, and endearing, all at the same time. He knows what he wants and is finally reaching out to take it. Megan lets him know on more than one occasion that she isn't relationship material, and that she's not looking for a permanent thing, but she doesn't stand a chance against him once he steps up his game, seeing her fear for what it is, and wasting no time showing her that love is worth the risks.

I have to mention, too, how much I adore Hunter's whole family. His grandfather Elmer, his parents, and all of his siblings, cannot help but butt into this poor man's business. The love that they feel for each other is evident in every conversation, and it just makes the story that much more heartwarming.

Marie and her books just keep getting better and better, and I will happily read anything that she puts out. I highly recommend both this book and the whole series, and look forward to reading It's Only Love (Book 5) when it releases. 5 couldn't-be-lovelier stars for Hunter and Megan and the whole Abbott crew.
