This interlude is a MUST READ it adds so much context and backstory to the current world and what’s going on in the main series, while also highlighting a main player in the book that I personally never realized was a big player in the overall series. It answers so many of my previous questions while giving me so many more, I honestly binge read this book because it was so good. If you’re thinking about skipping it to get back to the “main” story I highly recommend you don’t because you won’t regret it, I definitely didn’t.

Captivating

This story continues to suck me with its twists and turns and loops. While this installment answered many questions (and confirmed many suspicions) it has also raised more questions. I will certainly be picking up the next book as soon as possible.

This book brought an entirely new perspective to the Game is Life series and it was wonderful. The way the author develops the backstories in this chapter really adds a depth of character and some brewing controversies for the subsequent books...

This may be my favorite book in the series so far. I didn't even want to read it to begin with. I was hooked on the main story, and didn't care that much about Brandon. I wanted to just skip over to book four. Thankfully, I didn't. Part of what I enjoyed so much was the similarity to Ender's Game, wherein we have a young prodigy kicking ass at games. We also get some of the answers to ongoing questions in the series. It's fantastic. Still some typos, but not as many as in the last book...and it didn't bother me as much because the book was so awesome!
