I usually don't leave written reviews on books, but this one left me no choice. It made me feel quite queasy. I didn’t even notice how long it took me to read it; my head was pounding, and my chest felt tight. Although I consider myself someone with a high tolerance for horror and gore, this book kept me on an interesting adrenaline rush, compelling me to keep reading. At a certain point, I found myself pondering between fight or flight. I can’t quite describe my current feeling—it's like it's one of my ultimate favorites, yet it left me uneasy. As I type this, even my hands are shaking. It's a solid 10/10 one-sitting book. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys short, gory horror stories.

I literally gagged multiple times reading this. Not for the faint of heart. Lots of body horror. It's not bad, but it tried to do so many things at once in a novella. It was okay, not great.

this book tried to tackle so many interesting ideas, but just fell completely flat in it's execution, both lyrically and, above all, grammatically.

the main character is obsessed with the idea of consuming a dead being... but she has been eating meat the entire time? i get the idea but again, the author spends no time actually fleshing out the deeper meanings of the story and leaves us with a sloppy carcass of a story that doesn't even seem to have been proof read once.

very disappointing read for me.
