Still one of my favorites. Simply and honestly written life truths about friendship and meaning and death.

This is an innocent, sweet and touching tale of friendship. We go on an exciting adventure with a pig called Wilbur, who became friends with a spider called Charlotte. Through her ingenious web spinning, Charlotte managed to save his life. I loved Templeton the rat - he was really funny! Flighty Fern did disappoint me. After her total dedication to the animals and especially Wilbur, to have her 8 year old head turned so easily by Henry Fussy was a disgrace!

Read it aloud to my class. It took us awhile to get through it, but we enjoyed every moment of it. Always special to share a book with my students.

Ashlyn loved this book so much that Blake is now inspired to read it. She would stop reading and say "listen to this" and read a passage out loud to whoever was in the room to hear. Of course it was also one of my favorites as a kid.
