The whole concept of the book creeped me out. However when things got explained I felt as if I missed something or was too dumb to understand, which is not a nice feeling to end a book. In a way it is rather disappointing, because I still have no idea on what exactly happened. It was a rather fast read and I was eager to pick up the book and see how things would evolve.

This was absolutely exquisite. The writing is gripping and immersive and dizzying - I read almost all of it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. The absolute visceral carnage of Tamsin's breakdown is raw and real despite the unreal circumstances in which it happens. I loved the science elements. The only thing I could ask for more of is more resolution around
Penrose 2.0, who seemed to just disappear, maybe? I'm guessing he went through the door but I'm a cat person so give me more of the cat lore.
. Oh, also, the subtle disability rep + the tense gayness throughout was 5/5.
