I think this is my least favourite movie in the prequel movies and I also didn't love this novelisation too much. There were still some nice scenes that weren't in the movie
Spoilerlike one scene where it was shown that the Geonosians were the ones who were working on the Death Star, which I believe we never really find out in the movies but I did read about in Catalyst

I liked reading character's thoughts during certain scenes though, which is honestly why I enjoy novelisations so much (and yes it's 100% canon).

The books are SO much better than the movies! Sure, the "i dont like sand" bit was a lil awkward, but it was SO MUCH MORE awkward in the films... there's so much you get to see here in this book than in the movie, thats for sure.

what i liked about these novelisation is that it shows the thoughts behind the characters, especially those that are often overlooked in the face of anakin or obi wan. especially i liked seeing the thoughts of padme as she falls for anakin, i liked seeing how the story began w shmi (especially since she’s almost the beginning for anakin truly getting darker w her death and his reaction). i did. kinda get bored at the action scenes, not to say they weren’t well written but i don’t get easily invested in fight scenes unless they’re full of tense (a hard task considering i already know these battles). but the books good, it isn’t great and perfect, but for someone wanting to read the movie this would be what you’d want

I loved the integration of deleted scenes and extras from the movie, as well as additional information about the character’s thought processes.  It was a well-written book which added much needed additional context to Attack of the Clones
