This book made me so mad throughout!! I liked the way it ended and although I think there are 2 more bks they are not on audible so I won't read them yet... and I'm ok with that. This is definitely a Dark series.

An absolute must read series for all dark erotica lovers! I fell in love with Tess & Q's story from page one and simply can not get enough?! The characters that Pepper creates are so real, so inviting that you can't help but feel every pain they endure. This book was a complete mind f*#%@ and I struggled through every page.. needing to stop but yet I couldn't and in the end... I simply have no words. Pepper creates a word that is entirely its own... HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended series - an absolute FAVORITE!?

This was one of the best books I've read. Pepper outdid herself with this book. There are very few second books that match up to the first, this book was outstanding. It captivated me, it grounded me where I had to take a little break even though I wanted to continue to read it. I had so many emotions through this book, anger, sadness, and happiness. But through it all it just was so gripping and just kept you on the edge of your sit through out. If you haven't read this series run and get both books and you wouldn't be sorry. Oh and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

I enjoyed it but also felt the writing was a little off at times. I struggle sometimes when bad guys are written like the ones in these because they seem a little too juvenile to my brain. Like these people are at the heart of the underworld and they're just like "hello slut" & "you might as well give up, slut" & "know why you’re tied up, slut?" and I feel like I should be terrified of these people, and scared for Tess, but they were cringe to me? Even Tess and Q after she returns, it was difficult for me to believe both of their minds. She was all over the place and so was he.

Honestly I didn't really like the bad guys, I hated the taunting and I disliked seeing them flounder. I think it was because they really have nothing outside of their master/slave relationship. Neither of them know a thing about the other, and it really showed how crap their actual 'relationship' was outside of that (because honestly they don't really have one).

I did enjoy the scene where Tess
Spoilerunleashes on Q
because it was super dark and I think that part was well written and emotional for both characters. It bought up the book, but honestly its a long book and its pretty close to the end so it was a little bit of a slog to get there. I'll probably continue the series, but not any time soon.

Wow, what an angsty intense, dark ride. I was so choked up on emotions while trying to read this book, spellbinding. I feel as though I was in an intense fog like Tess was, only to finally wake at the end. Amazing book, I was so totally engrossed in it, I couldn't put it down. This novel was well written, you may or may not like the characters but they were definitely intense. Situation of non consensual acts are all throughout this book, and just boggled my mind. I can't say I loved it because it was such an emotional ride, but I definitely lost myself in the book. Overall entertainment was five stars.

The second book was way better than the first book. I enjoyed this one a lot more because Tess wasn't such a weakling anymore and there were less meaningless love making scenes. The character development was also a lot better.
