This was a fun story to listen to on Audible. And I always like It when Amanda Rinconi narrates. I gave it four stars as there were several times the author seemed to go off on too many side notes, and I found myself rewinding to hear what I missed. Only to realize I didn’t miss anything important.

This was exactly what I needed right now. There are no deplorable humans. Lots of kindness, community and family. It's wholesome and heartwarming.

It was a mediocre contemporary romance that was just soooo slowwww. Everything was over-described to the point where I thought it took away from the story. I liked the plot and characters, though, it just needed to move faster!

This was such a nice and relaxing book to read during an otherwise stressful few days, I suspect I will be coming back to it when I need an escape in the future

I stopped reading when it was clear that the love interests were siblings. Kauffman writes that adopted siblings don’t count. As an adoptive parent I am appalled that she wrote that.
It doesn’t matter that they hadn’t met before. From their father’s perspective they were both equally his children (which is why they end up with co-ownership).
I’ve enjoyed other of her books in the past, but this one really missed the mark.

100% can admit to the fact that the cover caught my eye and was enough incentive to check this out (e-book) from my public library. Luckily for me, the content is just as charming as the cover. I enjoyed both protagonists and despite all the military promoting, this was a pleasure to read.

Sunny’s world is turned upside down when she finds out that has ownership in a silk mill as well as a 10 year old half-sister, Bailey. She doesn’t expect to have anything to do with the mill, until she realizes there is an overgrown greenhouse on the property that calls to her horticulturist heart. Maybe Bailey could use some nurturing and family. And Sawyer, the guy renovating the silk mill, isn’t too bad on the eyes either.
Concern for Bailey’s wellbeing, a building attraction to Sawyer, and the tightknit community of Blue Hollow Falls keeps drawing Sunny in. Sunny’s job is in the city but the mountains of Virginia seem more like home. How can Sawyer and Sunny make a future together possible?
