What's fun about reading these in order, is that at some point you start seeing "part 2"s of the stories in previous volumes. It was nice, but at the same time these are really thick graphic novels. I must admit I was getting a bit bored by the end of "Vol. 3". There were bits I loved, bits I found ok and bits I really didn't care for that much.

I'd give it 3.5 if I could. Far from life-changing, but quite enjoyable. I think my favorite might have been the one about the little girl and the fairy. (And now I can't remember what it was called, dagnabbit!)

I really enjoyed the graphic short stories Old Oak Trees by Tony Cliff, The Edge by Ben Hatke, The Lumbering Beast by Joey Weiser, The Cloud by Billy Plympton (especially liked this one both the story and the illustrations), illustrations in Tea by Reagan Lodge.

I love it. The colors and variety of artwork is beautiful. It didn't have the same effect on me as volume 1 but it is still a good relaxing piece.

These really are filled with some excellent little stories. Vol 3 definitely delivers & I've started to recognize the repeat authors/illustrators. There was specifically one story-line that had been continued from vol 1 & 2 that I was hoping to see an other episode of, but it was missing. There were a couple of sad ones, but fewer of the "strange" stories--the type I envision would leave more mainstream readers questioning why they'd picked up the book. Definitely approachable for the new-to-graphic-novels reader. I'd definitely recommend these & have found them mostly suitable for kids, too. There are a couple of stories scattered through them that I kind of wish my kids (9 & 10 yrs old) hadn't read...nothing too extreme...but since they got a hold of these before I did, it's a moot point.

**Life changing because: the story "Polaris" in the middle devastated me. I turned the book back in to the library and then immediately checked it back out because I had to read it again several times. All of the other stories are still good! Don't get me wrong!! The Flight Anthologies are never a bad choice, no matter which volume you choose. This one is just the best one.**
