The world building is insane, the depth of characters in such various strokes is magnificent, the art is so so beautiful I'm entrapped in their lines for small entireties!

Wouldn't have believed the story to get so dark so fast but I can't wait to see how the witch kids find their way out of the maze that has fallen around them. So excited!

I'm really enjoying the direction the story is going so far, especially the pains that are being taken to show the many different ways that the system of witchcraft can damage and its necessity. It does a great job building tension and provides an interesting mirror for how many view out society, though I think the quality of this parallel depends on how they handle later volumes. I am a bit confused on how Quifrey didn't realize that Coco was wearing a mysterious metal bracer that he had never seen before, especially given her apparent stress. Also, I feel like it was unclear how Dagda escaped from the Knights Moralis, generally it seemed like events were a bit disjointed this volume.
