I’m a broken record. There need to be more stars. 3 1/2. The last 1/3 of the book was the best part. The story and Emma Gatewood are fascinating, but the details of history in the first part of the book could have been cut down some and the book would have flowed better I think. Still a good story I’m glad I read.

What an unassuming but inspirational woman whose late-in-life endeavor to walk the AT (and then some…) was truly exceptional! Beyond this fascinating story - Ben Montgomery’s writing style kept me interested every step of the way (so to speak!).
