I'm not going to write much on this one. Readable. Continuation of the series with another cliffhanger ending. Laura is falling down a dark path. I can't say I like her very much for several reasons. I'll finish the series but I am going to take a little break.

Damn it! I can't with this series. At this point, I'm rooting for the vamps.

Wellington is great at keeping his characters consistent in each book. He is also great at creating and introducing new characters. these vampire books of his always give me the creeps. like i dont want to go out at night. that doesnt last too long but i do look around to make sure no one is around. This isnt as good as the first book but its not far behind it.. so far i will recommend this entire series.

Maybe I should have started with an earlier book in the series.

The heroine is a cop in a special anti-vampire police unit. Her partner taught her everything she knows about hunting down and killing vampires before he went over to the dark side himself. Now he needs to be hunted down and killed. I probably wouldn't have picked this up if 'Laura Caxton #3' was visible on the cover, but it turned out to be pretty good. I liked the visit to my home town, Syracuse (realistically in the middle of a heavy blizzard).

Wellington's vampire stories, the whole lot of them, are great. This one was exceptionally less violent than the others, but has its share of gore. Character development is great, it matters when characters die, the whole fictitious world is believable, the hero is mortal, ruins her relationships with her obsessive hunt for vampires.... yeah, great book.
