I think that how people learn magic is a little weird, though. Deflated. Like how Neo learns jujitsu in"The Matrix."

I absolutely love all the historical and mythological characters incorporated throughout Scott's novels! These are great reads, and being a teacher of World Mythology, I have a lot to share and tie in to the novels with my students.

Ok so this book got a bit more interesting compared to book 3. Mainly due to Josh following John Dee near the end of the book. I just want to see how this will work out
Nooooooo why why why. Scatty is lost. Josh actually left with Dee. Aoife is dead ?!?! What will happen next. I couldn't have even imagined the book would end like this.

Good book and I read it but lost some of the details.
Very good book for pre teens. age appropriate about 12 years old. However it is slow moving. I struggled to get through the book.
Ik geef dit boek drie sterren, maar het was bijna twee sterren geworden. Ik begin me inderdaad wat te ergeren aan de vele herhalingen in het boek en ik erger me te pletter aan Josh. Die jongen moet een schop onder zijn kont krijgen en niet zo achterlijk doen. Als ik zijn zus was, dan goot ik een emmer ijskoud water over zijn hoofd zodat hij misschien eindelijk eens zijn hersens gebruikt.
