This book was just as good as the first one! Loved it!

I good ending to the series, I think. The ending left me with resonance like good endings should. I was happy to be reunited with the original characters as the third book in the series veered off from them. I enjoyed the fact that they went back to the city of Ember and utilized what they could to make Sparks a better place. It seemed like a logical thing to do and they were able to bring solar energy to a post-apocalyptic world, which is wonderful.

Great addition to the City of Ember series. I'm a little sad this seems to end the series.

Aahhh, what a lovely conclusion to a wonderful series. I love these characters. I love the way they learn to love each other through squabbles and fears. I love the hope they have for the dreary world they live in, and how they put that hope into ACTION to make things better. So happy to have spent time in this series!

I lost interest in this book halfway through. The first book of the series was great but the series slowly got worse. I did not finish this book and I probably will not finish. It has a great moral and storyline but this book was very boring.

This was a return to the characters of Ember, who are loved by me. The plot was a bit of a stretch, but plausible enough in the scope of things that have happened to them. It feels like the series is truly ended now. (I have no idea if there are any more in the pipeline or not.)
