This is my first [a:Clio Evans|21827137|Clio Evans|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1638609772p2/21827137.jpg]'s book, and the second in the Creature Cafe series.
I've seen other titles in the series pop up on the monster side of IG and have had it on my tbr list for a while.
Draco is a lonely dragon shifter with a talent and passion for cooking looking for connection (or two). Dell is another dragon shifter seeking connections and a mate/mates to fill his empty life and home. Kat is a human with a secret, a lonely life and passion she def needs an outlet for. The Barista sets them up and it's insta-lust, insta-love and soon everyone's in heat!
Kat's past comes back to hunt her (quite literally) and the two D's are having none of that - they protect their own.
The book was a funny, hot, sweet read and included some tropes I quite enjoy and others that were new to me.
I will def be reading the other books in the series as well.

I love how cozy these books are and the pacing is perfect. The traumas are not so heavily focused on and the characters are all interesting to get to know.

Short little book. Surprisingly less plot than even the first book. The smut was more monstrous, so I'm actually not too capable of picturing what was going on in some of the scenes.

I think I liked this one a little more than the first one. I liked the characters and, again, the spice was great. I wish we got a little bit more of the MMCs histories? but I'm also aware it's a novella and you can't write long backstories for characters in >100 pages lmao.
I am also really interesting in seeing how the thing with this old friend of the Barista is gonna play out!
