2.0
It seems like this second installment was split into three major sections:
1. Plot advancement
2. Emilia wanting to bed Wrath every time she saw him, no matter the context
3. Plot advancement
I was so bored for most of this. To quote what my friend said about this book: “it was maaajor no plot just vibes.” The last ~75 pages were the most exciting part of this book. While I appreciate some spice here and there, a lot of the spicy scenes were unnecessary and didn’t advance the plot much (in my opinion, anyway).
The plot twists at the very end were great and I look forward to seeing how they pan out in a future installment.
Overall, I am very disappointed with this sequel. The first novel was much better.
Edit: after thinking it over for a week, I’ve lowered my rating to 2 stars.
