This series has my heart. After reading the second volume, I‘d say it‘s a bit like retelling Dante‘s Divina Comedia, and the author does so amazingly well. I just love the female lead, Emilia is driven, competent and also daring and headstrong, which results in some steamy and interesting dynamics with the male lead. I really look forward to devouring the third book.

After 119 pages I decided to dnf this read. I’m done with the “flirting” and the bad dialogue. The main character is badly written and the love interest is toxic. Because of my doubt I decided to read some of the high valued scenes and I’m disgusted. I’m okay with some spice but it should be with consent and chapter 17 just wasn’t it. Rape or Sexual assault should not be romanticized. It’s dangerous and fucking disrespectful.

This book is quite the opposite of second book syndrome!!! What a fricken time and a half!!! I cannot wait for the next one & I can’t believe I’m gonna have to wait for a year at the minimum 😩. 10/10 acomaf vibes but make it seven deadly sin courts with princes of hell instead of high lords???

This was a good follow-up to the last book and sets up for the last nicely. This book focused more on Emilia and Wrath's relationship which still pushes the plot forward. The reveal that
Spoilerthe marriage bond was still intact fell flat because I already assumed it was since their matching tattoos never faded
. I feel like some of the twists came out of nowhere and were explained as just "part of the curse". However, I somewhat forgive that since we learn things from Emilia's point of view and it seems she is confused even more in this book. I will say that it has kept me from guessing the ending. I still have hope that all the strings come together and are explained in the next book.
