Honestly this book took me a while to finish (almost 3 months), I'd say there are some chapters less intriguing to read than the other, but to look at this body of work in a wholistic perspective, Great Circle did a fantastic job at telling the grand story of family tragedy, post-war trauma, coming of age journey of a war-time female pilot, nontraditional form of love and attraction in the unique period setting(world-war I,II).
