3.5 stars !

I really enjoyed this read and let's be honest, the only reason I picked it up was because it I heard this was Reylo in a book! Reylo being Rey and Kylo Ren (aka Ben Solo) in the new Star Wars trilogy!

Anyways, this story was similar to them yet so different! I loved their dynamic and I love the complexity of Jass Beylar! He was so evil and there was no excuse for it but he had good in him too and those good moments were so beautiful!

There was a lag in the story which kind of made it lose some of its impact but by the 65% mark it picked up and it was PHENOMENAL.

I'm so disappointed in myself, i feel it's my fault that i just couldn't love this book, the writing was good, the story was good but i just couldn't bring myself the love the characters. At first i was intrested in Jass because lets face it you always love the male mote but i just eh i think it's mostly my fault because I'm in a funky mood.

But don't let my review base your option to by it, I'll probably go back in a few weeks and absolutely love this book and kick my book funky self in the butt.

Huhhhhhh WHERE IS THE REST?!?!?! I'M GOING TO NEED THE REST OF THIS STORY ASAP OR I WILL RIOT. This has a sequel right??? It doesn't end like this? Someone's going to have to clear this up for me because HOLY COW I WILL GO INSANE.

I really, REALLY ended up enjoying this. It started off with a bang, hooked me right in.

The middle part is the reason why this is getting a 4 stars and no more. It got a bit slow, slower than I prefer.

BUT, with that being said, the last 35% of this book had me on the edge of my seat. I did NOT know what to think, who to trust, what to expect. I was completely at the mercy of this story.

Still am, considering how it ended. Is that a cliffy?? I'm borderline pissy about this because for some reason I thought this was a standalone but I'm thinking that ending was a sure cliffy. And cliffies mean there's... more coming? AGAIN, I WILL ASK, THERE'S MORE COMING RIGHT?

The characters were interesting (and somewhat similar-ish to Rey and Kylo from Star Wars which was GREAT). Jass is... damn, no words. That man is a lot of things, one of those being H.O.T. He's also quite conflicted which I loved, troubled heroes have always been my personal favs.

I also quite liked Reza! I like that it took her a while to give in, I respect her for that because it proves she respects herself.

All in all, REALLY ENJOYED IT. I need to know what the fuck happens next. What, when, how, who, the fuck? I'm so shaken up I don't know how to use my words anymore. So, I'll come back tomorrow to rewrite this review and make it a little bit more professional. Hopefully, tomorrow I'll be able to voice my thoughts properly. In the meanwhile, I'll stay shooketh.

Basically just a Reylo fic, but at least it was entertaining! A good way to tide myself over until Rise of Skywalker drops.

This was honestly somewhat entertaining due to it just being a blatant rip off of Star Wars/Reylo, but overall probably one of the worst books I’ve ever read

I'll one click anything by Frankie Rose, her worlds are so vibrant, drawing you in and you're pretty much guaranteed to be emotionally invested in every character.

Reza is intelligent and spirited, just trying to live a life free from the darkness that almost consumed her. When Jass crashes back into her life, she's thrown into a new maelstrom that threatens to destroy every one she loves. Working with him throws her off balance and makes her realise the connection between them is more than she could gave possibly imagined.

I loved not being able to discern whether Jass was the bad guy or the hero, always being kept on my toes. He's dark and broody and so infuriatingly charismatic you love to hate or hate to love him.

Frankie has created such an intriguing, compelling and vivid world you won't be able to put it down. I'm looking forward to seeing how Reza and Jass' journey plays out.
