These three issues were heartwarming, endearing and nostalgic. Taylor reminds us what makes Superman - him. He addresses a tiny problem faced by a small boy which is a throw back at his nature - no problem is big or small; they simply are problems. He connected at to people on a personal level without worrying about impending doom or general tensions in geo-politics.

The tone of #30 is surprisingly soft and incredibly light. It shows happier times in Kal's life before all of this began. Superman has been always about hope and positivity and optimism and this part serves as a nice reminder of that personality.

The contrast of Superman pre and post Lois is clear and the story works well. The ending of this narrative is from the view of a child who wishes for a more sunny Superman. Its a throwback at fans alike who want Superman to be darker to match the tones of what we see around us today.

Still, its good to see him leaning on the other side and show the world what he is capable of. But to do that, should he really go as far as overriding diplomacy and government?
