I saw immediate results when I began using the mind-body-soul tool. My son, who generally prefers his Dad, already has our time for the day planned out when I walk in the door. He also started keeping a list of things in Google Keep that he shared with me for times when he may not have an idea as a back up. This was just on the second day of implementation! I look forward to employing other strategies.

This is, hands down, the best parenting book I have read. While I wouldn't necessarily call it revolutionary, it has (clearly explained) specific tools that can be implemented immediately. In the three days that I've been using techniques from this book, I have seen positive changes in both my children and myself. Perhaps the most difficult part of this book is that it asks parents to take responsibility for their own part in making their children's behavior worse. My kids know what we're working on and they're on board because they're feeling empowered and respected. I can't recommend this enough.

Not all that revolutionary for me. This is more of a Parenting 101 book. Now that I have five kids, have read many, many other parenting books, benefitted from a strong parenting support and education through my church, I think my education needs belong somewhere in the 300-500 course level books. Still, a good reminder on the importance of one on one time and I liked the overview of what a Family Meeting could look like.

Had some concepts that seemed ok but I just couldn’t get through it. I may give it a second shot but for now I had to put it down.
