I read this shortly after it came out when I was in my early 20s. I thought it was hilarious and loved it then! Having watched the series recently on whatever streaming service it was on, I decided to pick up the book again and read it once more. Didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I did the first time but still enjoyed it. Just some brilliantly funny writing.

Well, what can I say about this book other than it is just utterly awesomely hilarious. The combination of wit, humour and inventiveness of Pratchett and Gaiman is just a joy to read and makes for one of the most interesting and exciting Apocalypse stories I've read (as someone else put it, if this is the Apocalypse, sign me up!). When I first heard about this I really wasn't sure whether the two authors would mesh well on the page but my god they certainly do. Crowley and Aziraphale are two great characters that bounce off each other brilliantly with the constant hint of a little bromance going on underneath their demon/angel exteriors, and the Antichrist is a stroke of genius (and an interesting commentary on the human condition). And of course Death makes an appearance as one of the Four Horsemen, which includes Pollution instead of Pestilence, a point which I found particularly clever. This is simply a great story, brilliantly written that will have you chuckling and snorting your way to the end of times.

【Review in December 2022】
Original plan was to watch the series. Still hadn’t watched the series but enjoyed the book. Took me a while to finish though 0.0

And it definitely had an effect on my Spotify Wrapped last year - I listened to Queen pretty much all the time reading it.

【Update on 22. February 2023】
Gotta change it to 5 stars because more I think about it more I love the story and the characters, and I can’t stop thinking about it.

Just realized Freddie Mercury wasn’t dead when the book was first published. I urgently need to know if he ends up in heaven or hell in the world of Good Omens.

Though confusing at times (a result of the constant switch of narrator) very amusing and fun to read
Could have been a bit shorter
