This book definitely had me engaged and need to know what happens next. The beginning of this book was confusing. But more gets revealed as the story progresses. I would say that the author didn’t do a great job making this a standalone. I could definitely tell this was a spinoff and that I was missing something. Although they never did anything, one of the MMCs definitely toed the line of messing with the FMC when she was a minor.
Who is Daisy? Who is Ivy? How does everybody know Mav didn’t do anything with Alana? How didn’t Mav know she’s been out here doing things for Victor?
The tenses kept changing.

Holy mother of all things holy! This book sucked me in from page one. Still has a choke hold on me. I don't even want to admit how quickly I read this book. When I finished, I swear I just stared at the kindle waiting for something to happen, like anything. The sexual tension and angst is absolutely top notch. I fell in love with the characters and sometimes I was questioning my moral compass. Alana has the mental capacity like no other! She has been through so much and yet she still remains witty and fun. She is the definition of a firecracker. I laughed at parts of the book and also wanted to throw my kindle across the room too. This book is a roller coaster and I am so ready for ride number 2! I have a feeling this author will be a go to author for me.
