3.5 stars rounded up. This book was a staunch change of pace for me, as it’s not very character driven or plot driven, but rather theme/underlying message driven. The stories were undoubtedly touching, and I loved how the cafe was described so vividly - it was almost as though you could feel the coziness and retro atmosphere through the pages. Generally a lovely little book, but not a page turner.

DNF at about the 30% mark. Wasn’t enjoying the writing style one bit. The first 50 pages is very fluffy, and when the time travel actually starts, the excitement hardly picks up.

I understand a lot of people find this book very emotional and impactful. I don’t see myself reacting well to this just based on the writing, so I’m quitting.

You finish a story and think you ran out of tears, and then you start another.

This is so pretty. So poetic. I feel so calm and content and out of tears.

Unfortunately it made me desperate for a hot coffee after having some wisdom teeth extracted. A lovely little read! Would recommend.
