I was seriously debating not reading this series after how disappointed I was with the first volume, but as I already own all 8 volumes I stuck with it and I’m glad I did. The story is still pretty confusing since they keep bringing up family names of people you don’t even know yet. The characters are showing more of their traits and I can kind of feel for the forbidden love aspect here. It was really nice to get a lot of the questions we had answered and the characters are being truthful to themselves and realizing feelings. Looking forward to reading more of this series.

"Ein melancholischer Morgen" continues to be true to its title. Why does mature so often equal depressing? This is a bittersweet story about two characters trapped in their respective societal roles. The art is beautiful, and I really like Shoko Hidaka's way of storytelling. As BL manga go, hers are among the best being published in German at the moment (why, oh why, is there no Hyouta Fujiyama *sigh*), and while this is not a happy book, it's still a very good read.

"None of that matters. I just want to be with you."
