I had no idea this was based on a Debbie Macomber book until I finished it, and all I'll say is that this put me off of wanting to EVER read a full Debbie Macomber novel. "The Apartment" isn't even bad enough to poke fun at or anything, it's just uninspired and way too hetero.

Pretty disappointed with this book. It was not one of the better books from the prolific, Western Washington writer. It seems like one of her interns wrote it in the author’s style.

This was really cute. It was my first manga so I wasn't too sure how to read it. The artwork was really cute. The only thing that bothered me about the story line was the ending. I felt it was a little extreme for a short time

Ugh! Why did it end so fast!

This was such a great read I didn’t realize that I was done until the last page! Ugh why! An easy read for a lazy day .

Missing something

I'm a huge Debbie Macomber fan, and when I saw this book, I felt I needed to add it to my Debbie shelf. I just read it. I'm terribly disappointed. Several times in the first few chapters the repetitiveness bogged down my focus on the story. It felt rushed and unfinished in other places... Nothing like Ms. Macomber's other books. It's not her best.

This was very cute and a cleanser for me. It made me smile and the artwork is so pleasing to the eye. The story was predictable but it is the reason why you would pick up the manga in the first place. It was a solid standalone, and very quick to read.

This is, like all of Debbie Macomber’s books, sweet and lovely. It is a Kindle single, so it’s a super quick read, but it stirred up a lot of emotions in its discussion of mothers and daughters and letting go. It sure made me miss my own Mom.
