The whole relationship between her and her sisters also felt weird.
The only thing that made me finish this book was because it was so fast paced and so I was able to finish it in 2 days.

The world building, the awesome female protagonist, the writing style, the fast-paced plot and magic themes were fantastic. Not only did I finish this in a weekend, but I have already bought the sequel out of excitement.
However, this book certainly lacked character development (every character's story was predictable and one dimensional). Similarly, the romance between Jude and the Prince was uncomfortable to read - it seemed forced and embarrassing - out of place with the exciting drama in the Courts of Fairie.

Spoiler
I thought that Jude and Carden was such an interesting dynamic and had I not known that they were getting together from a spoiler, I would have never guessed it. I think the story line between Locke and the twins was so twisted. He is the villain in plain sight. Black was so talented to make me love him and then get the rug pulled out from underneath me. Taryn made me so sad and mad. How could she not care more? IGraphic: Bullying, Death of parent, Kidnapping, Murder, Physical abuse, Toxic friendship, Violence, Death, and Toxic relationship

OMG how do I even start this review. I just finished reading...not even 10 minutes ago and my brain is still processing everything that happened.
This was a recommendation [and book gift] from Roni...I got fomo seeing all her updates when she was reading the series and decided I needed to read it too...and she was awesome enough to gift the trilogy to me 🥰
I've heard a lot of people talk about the trilogy but not really giving any real spoilers away...like literally all I knew before reading was that there was a Jude and a Carden...someone murdered her parents and she was raised in fairy...and that there was an entire page of just her name over and over. Which really...those 3 facts don't make for much info 🤣 Ngl I think I loved that though...I really had no idea what I was getting into.
From the start I sympathized and loved Jude. I had weird feelings of distrust towards certain characters...which ended up being well founded!
Maybe I can formulate my thoughts better soon...but until then I'm going to go marinate my thoughts and probably start book 2 😝
