This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Falling in Puppy Love by Sarah Fischer and Kelsey McKnight is a sweet romance book that I completely fell in love with reading. Its the perfect fall read to get you into the mood for apple cider and everything related to fall.
Aiden Hughes was this bigshot reporter in New York until he was fired, and now living in Birdsong, he's confused about what he wants in life. He is a great character, and I love his development here. From the first time we met him to the very last page, he had a great development. I even love it when he starts falling in love with a lot of different things and maybe seeing something different in life for him. What I like about Aiden is that his drive for not only planning but in his work is so clear and obvious. Another thing is how he slowly starts to be more comfortable around certain things that he wasn't entirely comfortable around. Aiden Hughes is definitely Chris Pine.
Emily McLane
Emily McLane is the whole being of the girl-next-door, and I love her business. Her love for the animals that she rescues, whether it's for hurt wild animals or the dogs that she takes in that love is very much apparent. Emily is a fantastic character that has a lot going for her, and I love the confidence she gets after spending some time with Aiden. She has her own sort of life that she has planned but doesn't mind changing it if she needs to. What I like about her is everything that I have already said and a lot more that I can't say because you should read the book. Okay, so this was a bit tricky for me. I looked up both Kristen Bell and then Amanda Seyfried. I agree with Kelsey though Emily is definitely Amanda Seyfried.
Falling in Puppy Love by Sarah Fischer and Kelsey McKnight is another book that I seriously love from these two amazing authors. They did such a great job, and I can't wait to read another book that they wrote together. It is worthy of being five stars, and I am recommending it to anyone that likes romance with a bit of comedy in there. Some parts had me laughing out loud.

Can Aiden feel at home again in Birdsong, Pennsylvania?

Aiden Hughes could not have predicted the turn of events in his professional life. One moment he has a thriving career as a journalist and the next, it is gone. He is forced to return to a small town he has fond memories of from his childhood. Aiden has to a come up with a plan B, as he takes up a part time job of covering a local festival at Birdsong. Emily McLane is all into her dog rescue mission and hBut as she finds herself falling for the guy, she can't help but feel insecure - would Aiden be able to settle in a small town like Birdsong? Or would he take off when he gets a new opportunity to further his career?
The story takes off right from the first chapter and doesn't let you down till the last page is turned. Aiden is an interesting character who is honest and open. We meet him at a time when the rug under his feet has been pulled off and he is trying to his footing in the world again. As such there was an air of vulnerability about him that draws in the readers and it is quite an interesting ride as we see him try to come up with a new plan for his life. Emily on the other hand is someone I loved right from the beginning. She is a genuinely warm person who would do anything and help anyone in need. And if the needy one happens to be four legged with a wagging tail and innocent eyes, well, she is the guardian angel then. It took me a while to warm up to their relationship as Aiden and Emily aren't the very apparent made-for-each-other kind. Yet they are just right for each other. As you see them taking on life together, you realise they fit!
But mostly, I loved the book because of Emily's dog rescue… When puppies turn up with their all innocent eyes and silly antiques, it makes everything so much warmer and sweeter!
At 170 odd pages, this is a quick, light-hearted, 'lift me up' sort of story.
